The Monarch SPS-5 Self Powered Sensor allows readings to be taken on various machinery and rotating equipment. The fact is that maintaining and servicing equipment can be painstaking at times. That is why Monarch has delivered excellence through production of measurement sensors and equipment.
The SPS-5 is one example of such excellence. The unit can be mounted for permanent monitoring, or it could be used as a set up to assist maintenance with the use of a stroboscope, vibration analyzer, balancers, and so on. This package is bundled with a Optical Sensor (ROS-P), the Interface Module (SPS-IM) transmitter, and a power supply (115-230V Universal Part), although the 12V model requires a provided power line, existing or installed, to keep the four "AA" NiCad Batteries powered.
The output of the SPS-5 unit provides TTL signals (positive 0-5V or negative 5-0V) through a BNC cable. The pulse width is determined by the size of the target. It allows you to measure rotational speed at rates up to 99,000 RPM from up to 3 feet away depending on lighting conditions. The Smart Laser Sensor expands on this, and it allows the TTL signal to be inverted. Sensors can be inter-changed to add functionality and flexibility, allowing readings of many applications. The parts of the SPS-5 can be ordered separately or bundled as this package.
